Sorry, I had assumed that your question was tongue-in-cheek (George Bush sr: "I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli.")

Not that I would have known the answer...
Best wishes,
Hans

Finally, I have found a source for Mung beans. Let me see if I can post a pic of my purchase!
I'll have work to do now! Indoor farming projects!

Hooray :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

That looks like a one-pound bag to me.
Should keep you going for one whole year.
Take photos of your daily sprouts, and, perhaps, post for us to see.

OK Skitterbug, we've all been staring at this packet for two weeks now. How about a snap of your sprouts?

Why not just set up a web cam and the world can watch these seeds sprout.
It would be no worst than watching paint drying.

All of the web cam watcher would love this.

I faked this once, took about thirty photos of Jupiter-the-cat and set up a web page that went into a loop, showing a new image every 1/2 second or so. Got back some comments that I should check to see if the cat was still alive ...

I "sprouted beans" about a month ago but finally got around to posting a pic. Sorry for beaning late but sprouting beans takes time!
I was pleased with the results and like to use them in stir fry meals. Once the Thanksgiving holiday is over, I plan on doing another batch.
So see the attached pic of my efforts! :clapping:

Is GOOD!
Congratulations Skitterbug!
Now you can make a lovely salad of bean sprouts with grated carrot and thin slivers of raw onion, and when your guests marvel at the tastiness, you can say "Well, I know this Western Australian, lives in an igloo, ..."

P.S. I find that storing the sprouts in the fridge for a couple of hours (or more) before serving as a salad, makes them absolutely, wonderfully crisp-n-crunchy.
