on Save message displays "Press ESC key to cancel saving the document".
environment Office 2007 SP2, Powerpoint 2007 SP2
orginial powerpoint presentation file size is: 161KB
new powerpoint template file size is: Blank.potx 785 KB
New powerpoint template with office 2003 compatiability mode on. each time I save the message displays "Press ESC key to cancel saving the document".
I had a look and other forums mentions its due to large file size and as long as the progress bar continues its fine.
well...between you and me I dont think this message is fine
Other forums someones mentioned to disable the Powerpoint settting "Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation", Embed fonts in the file.
He did it in powerpoint 2003
In 2007 this setting isnt on. does that mean I have to go back to OfficeXP - powerpoint XP and amend the setting, and it will work in powerpoint 2007.
Does anyone know how to permanently remove this setting?
see screen capture
Many thanks
diana

Re: Save displays "Press ESC key to cancel saving the docume
The setting in PowerPoint 2007 that you see when you select Office button > Excel Options > Save > Embed fonts in the file (under "Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation") is the same as that in earlier versions, so clearing this check box in PowerPoint 2002 or in PowerPoint 2007 shouldn't make a difference.
There doesn't seem to be a way to disable this dialog entirely.
