You're as bad as me. In 2005 I completed a circumnavigation of the globe which I began in 1956. In 1977 I threw a six and started off again in the UK.HansV wrote:I have moved approximately 1 mile westward.

You really don't want to know, do you? Geographically, about 1500 miles.

So, assuming a distance of desk-to-fridge of about 20 feet, that works out to something of the order of 21 snacks/day?garbsmj wrote:You really don't want to know, do you? Geographically, about 1500 miles.

That NASA is still able to communicate with Voyager over such phenomenal distances says much for their expertiese! Any mathematicians out there who can work out just how long it takes for messages to reach Voyager (186,000 miles per second times 10 billion miles = Doh!!!) - and then come back!!!!ChrisGreaves wrote:Toronto Star

I'm really impressed, it took me a fortnight to get my son's new address in Edinburgh and he's only 59 miles away and forget about the other one in Mintlaw (103 miles)aekyall wrote: That NASA is still able to communicate with Voyager over such phenomenal distances says much for their expertiese!

Let's see, since '77, life's been a bit up & down...
* went to uni (moved down south)
* got a job (returned Up North)
* went to another uni (stayed Up North)
* got another job (went down south, further than before)
* got married
* went back to first uni (a move up north but not back Up North)
* got another job
* became a father
* job relocated (moved back Up North)
Most recently, I found myself temporarily relocated to mainland Europe, due to a certain v o

Thanks Ken.stuck wrote:Let's see, since '77, life's been a bit up & down...
I note with increasing concern that you didn't identify which events could be considered as "up" and which could be considered as "down".

Chris, I think Ken hid some clues in what he wrote, e.g.ChrisGreaves wrote:I note that you didn't identify which events could be considered as "up" and which could be considered as "down".
* went to uni (moved down south)
could be considered 'down' and
