And for fun: a nearby squirrel (the picture is grainy because my phone doesn't have optical zoom)

When will the daffodils be in bloom in Bonavista? Late August?
Best wishes,

Ah, the tropical south. They're not at the magnificent unique shade of blue carpet stage yet up here.
Bluebells always remind me of my dad because a photo of him, aged about 12, stood in a bluebell wood always had pride of place in my grandparents living room. It was only a B&W picture but somehow that didn't matter.

Re: the bluebells are out!
My snowdrop bluebells things came and went already very quickly this year. - We have had some of the, sadly ever increasing in size, up and down blips in temperatures that have knocked things out of wack a bit, :(
I seriously don’t ever try to annoy. Maybe I am just the kid that missed being told about the King’s new magic suit, :(

They take on many forms at the start of the year

As mentioned there, those were neither snowdrops nor bluebells but crocuses...

I'm reminded of a sign near a nursery.
"Spring is here! I was so excited I wet my plants."

And as long as you have more than one of them, they are also ...

Funny thing about crocuses: very hardy plants. Never been known to croc.

Spring may be the time for crocii, but winter is the time for croaky.

Crocii?! 'Croci', at a pinch...
O woe, Geoff! I'll bet you also use 'virii' instead of 'viruses'...
