32 and 64 bit VBE.

Post by LisaGreen »

Hi, Long time since I've done any coding.

Hello everyone!
I'm working with EXCEL 2016 64.

There seems to be some problems in actually typing
out code.
When I type an open bracket I grt a closed bracket
as well. Same thing - most of the time - for typing out a double quote

Anyone else noticed the same behavior?

Morea to the point has anyone a solution please. This is notthe
way the32 bit software works if I remember.

That's strange - it shouldn't make any difference whether you're typing code in the 32-bit Visual Basic Editor or in the 64-bit version.
You might try repairing your Office installation.

Forget the above. I completely misread your post. :sorry:
Best wishes,
Hans

Seems to be an improvement: In VBA almost every double quote should be followed by a 'closing' quote. The same applies to brackets. 'repairing' this improvement could lead you from the 'regen in de drup'.

Perhaps I misunderstood. I interpreted "When I type an open bracket I grt a closed bracket" as "When I type an open bracket I get a closed bracket instead of an open bracket"

Are you running any VBA addins/assistant? Possibly the likes of Rubber Duck, MZ Tools or something else?
