The Processes tab of the task manager window doesn't want to show its leftmost side; even when I try and drag the slider to the left, it slides back. Irreversible sign of age?
Actually the whole desktop behaves in the same fashion, chopping off its leftmost side.

Have you set scaling in Windows to a percentage different from 100%?

What happens if you make the Gestione attività window wider?

Problem goes away.
Too bad I can't do the same for the desktop which remains lopsided at the far left.

Yes!! Monitor's AutoSettings when pressed solved the problem
