If anyone is awake at 0230 GMT, has a good view of the Moon, is West of 0° longitude and is interested, there's a Lunar Eclipse happening tomorrow.

Graeme

Re: Lunar Eclipse
It will be at totality here at about 2330 hours. I doubt that I'll be awake.

Re: Lunar Eclipse
This animation reminded me that it is the sun and the moon that share an apparent same size in the matter of eclipses, not the earth.
Check out the time it takes for the full eclipse to travel, i.e the size of the Earth's umbra.
Cheers
Chris

Re: Lunar Eclipse
Instead of a lunar eclipse, we were treated to thunder and lightning. <sigh>

Fla = Rain, right?
I told you so eight years ago ... "Many buildings have umbrella bags; there’s no need to drip rainwater all over the floors."
Cheers, Chris
