For the last several days I've been getting the popup shown in the screenshot in my Thunderbird email client. I've looked online and found a lot of posts complaining about it or similar google spam in browsers but nothing in email client software. I have no idea what might have changed to cause it. I do run a cleaner daily. I found that I had Chrome installed. I removed it yet the problem persists.
Any ideas?

Have you added a Gmail account to Thunderbird? If so, you'll be asked to log in...
Best wishes,
Hans

If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have NO luck at all.

Thanks for the responses.
Yes, I have a couple of gmail accounts in Thunderbird; however, I've had them for quite some time and the pop up only recently started.
I do have a gmail smtp in the list. I made it 'default'. We shall see if this works.

Re: Aggravating Google Popup in Thunderbird
As is always the case, Hans provided the answer.
When I got the nag screen to sign in, I did so. The nag has not returned. I don't know why it suddenly appeared. I must have done something to cause it but I don't know what I did. The puzzling thing is that I have several gmail accounts and only the one was nagging for a login.
Thank you, once again, Mr. V.
