I think it has been just the past couple of months that I have been receiving Forum Notification emails on top of Topic Notification emails.
I am not overwhelmed by this; just curious.
I can't remember seeing this doubling up before. In this example, both emails refer to the Scuttlebut forum.
I have inspected my user panel "Manage subscriptions" and see a great list of topics, or recent postings in various forums, but I don't see a higher-level "Forum" checkbox.
If there is a simple switch to turn off the Forum Notification I'll try it.
I think that in the past I used to receive email notifications for the first response in a thread in which I took part, and no further emails until after my next online visit to the forum.
Thanks
Chris

Go to Manage subscriptions.
You'll see the forums and topics that you have subscribed to.
Tick the check box for those you want to unsubscribe from.
Click 'Unwatch marked'.

OK, he replied hesitantly. I think I see. I have unchecked that "Forum Notification", and I suspect that that will inhibit those notifications coming my way.HansV wrote:Go to Manage subscriptions.

I remain puzzled/curious about why they (seem to have) suddenly appeared.
This is not a big deal.
Perhaps I checked it on without realising, but I so rarely go into the Control Panel ...
Cheers
Chris
P.S. I just went back and clicked on "Unwatch marked". Missed that the first time through!
