I find myself nearly always having to click on the button in the response panel that takes one to the full editor. Is there an option that will make the response panel always use the full editor?
If this doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try again.

No, 'Quick Reply' is a board-wide default. It is not user-settable.
You can click the 'QUOTE' button in the post you want to reply to, then - if you wish - delete the quoted text before composing your reply.

Thanks, Hans. I thought that to be the case but hope springs eternal.

Don't you see both a Post Reply and a Quick Reply button like this? It probably depends on which skin you use.

I'm running Subsilver 2. It doesn't offer the Post Reply and Quick Reply options, only the Quick Reply panel.
What skin is that, Stuart?

I changed to Prosilver skin and now have both reply options; however, I don't get the UCP and View My Posts options unless I display a post. They don't seem to appear at the thread list level . . . or am I missing something again?
Whoops!!! It's there! I guess I just missed it the first time around.
It will take me awhile to get used to this new skin. I've been using the other one forever.

Looks like it does depend on what skin is used, Stuart. I use Rainbow Pearl and it only shows Quote.

That goes to show that mindset blindness - and old age - are very real phenomena. Habit has much to do with it too.
Thanks, Stuart! Now I can return to my old, familiar Subsilver2 (couldn't find a smiley for a glass of scotch )

What do you see below the orange line (scrolling down if necessary)?
Try a different browser to see if that makes a difference.
