Update: CCleaner v5.43 released

Post by HansV »

Version 5.43 of the popular CCleaner utility has been released. See the Release Announcement.

There doesn't appear to be a portable or "slim" version at this moment.
Best wishes,
Hans

Got it, :thankyou:
I do prefer the "chunky" version over the slim anyway.

The 5.43 release is 15,468 KB in size. The last release I downloaded (5.40) was 10,955 KB. Very curious about the almost 50% increase in size, especially as they state they only 'made several small improvements to CCleaner'.

A change like that could come from something as silly as a change in one of the compilers they use, or an optimisation that unrolls loops into sequential code.

Or even from replacing ASCII text in the code with Unicode text, so that they can support other languages in future.
