USB 3 Port
When I plug an external Seagate drive into my PC the following message appears on screen, how do I distinguish which of the numerous ports on my PC is a USB 3.0 port please? Cheers Dave.

Re: USB 3 Port
The usual convention is that the plastic spacer inside the USB port is black for USB 2.0 (and 1.0 if you have an old PC), and it's blue for USB 3.0. In the picture, the left two ports are 3.0 and the other two are 2.0.
If you're lucky, the system manufacturer has printed the USB version next to the port. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
