Because Excel lacks robust change-tracking function as well as threaded commenting, my colleague and I are thinking about using table in Word to maintain data and discuss online.
What Word lacks for this is "filtering" of data in a table. Is there a third-party add-on that enables filtering of data in table?

The only one that I've been able to find is the AutoFilter for MS Word add-in at VBA Resources For MS Word (free).
I haven't used it myself, so you'll have to try it out to see if it suits your purpose.
