Rolls of paper in the kitchen
In my local supermarkets there are four basic types of rolled paper (sheets, not bags) available for use in the preparation and storage of food.).
If, for the rest of your life, you were restricted to the use of only one of these types, which would you pick?

Obviously aluminium foil, because that enables the old "foiled again!" chicken joke...!

Speaking of wrapping things up; wonder of there is any of Bob's LoL left over to wrap up in one of the above?

The leftover LoL was vacuum packed in a plastic bag and placed in the freezer . . . not to be cold about it.

Re: Rolls of paper in the kitchen
I use 3 of them depending on the need.
Aluminum foil for covering food while being cooked
Parchment Not used, but I have thought about trying it.
Plastic film For storage of food items
Waxed paper for covering food items to prepare food, such as pounding.

I don't see Tupperware as an item to select. Just thinking of the environment.

The Chinese also make time machines; and they're not called Otis.

Re: Rolls of paper in the kitchen
I started with it about a year ago; I was tired of greasing a baking tray and then having to detergent it clean.DaveA wrote:Parchment Not used, but I have thought about trying it.
Turns out that Parchment Paper is washable and hence re-usable.
I have a half-dozen sheets cut to fit. When the tray of cookies comes out of the oven I slide the sheet of cookies off the tray and slide the next sheet of dough onto the tray.
The cooked cookies cool off on a table, and then peel away delightfully ("Chris makes really a-peeling cookies ...").
When all cookies are baked, the papers soak in a tray for five minutes, then basically just rub clean! Drip-dry.
