Getting screen to go blank while playing sound file
I have my screen to go blank after 1 minute, but I cannot get it to go blank whenever I have a sound file playing on Windows Media Player. Is there any way around this?

If you right click in the visualization window and choose No visualization, Media Player will have a blank screen when you play music...

But there is still light emanating from the screen. I want the screen to completely go blank.

In Windows Media Player, select Tools > Options...
In the Player tab, tick the check box 'Allow screen saver during playback'.
Click OK.
