Streetview in Google Maps (where available) now has an option to view it in anaglyphic stereo view. You need red/cyan colored glasses to see the stereoscopic effect.
Click the glasses on the streetview figure to toggle this feature.
(The effect isn't very spectacular)

Yes, I saw this a day or two ago - but where do you get the coloured glasses?
And notice how the 3D-effect is only experienced horizontally, not vertically...!

Re: 3D view in Google Maps streetview
I have two pairs of 3D glasses (a red/cyan pair and a blue/amber pair), both of which were distributed for free with a newspaper of magazine. I don't know if they are for sale commercially - perhaps in toy shops.
Our own 3D view is caused by our eyes being a few centimetres apart horizontally; this effect is simulated in an anaglyphic picture.

Re: 3D view in Google Maps streetview
The simulated 3D feature in movies gives me a headache. Not sure why, but I avoid 3D. I also avoid fast moving rides, whirling rides and such not. I like my feet firmly on the ground and my visuals moving normally!

I agree, the effect is not always pleasant, so I can understand you prefer to avoid it!

Apparently this was Google Maps' April Fools feature - it's gone now.
