I cannot seem to learn how to use the Search function. I read the FAQ and read the notes in the page displayed when the function is invoked, but I still get too many hits because I cannot seem to narrow the search down to posts that contain the phrase "video editor."
So, I'm reaching out for 2 things: instructions (yet again) on how to concatenate terms using Search; and your recommendations for the best freeware video editor.
with apologies for growing senile

I've really been impressed with it. Its simple, easy to use and the ribbon provides all the tools in a concise and user-friendly way. I don't know how advanced you want to go, but for my usage of editing digital videos, it's perfect.
Cheers

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.
I got it installed and loaded an MP4 file and clipped out the unwanted portions. What do I do now? I went to the Project tab and did a save, but it forced the file type to .wimp. Can I turn that to an MP4? If so, how?
UPDATE:
I kept searching and found a page on a Microsoft web site that says that the .wimp file type is for saving a project and that using the Save > as > Movie option saves in MP4.
YEAH!!!

It's .wlmp, not .wimp
.wlmp is a Windows Live Movie Project file, not the video file itself.
To save the movie, click the button in the upper left corner and select Save Movie > Recommended for this project.

One would save as a project while you are creating the movie. This keeps all the linked content like sound clips and trimmings, etc intact. Once you have FINISHED the movie, you can save it as a movie format using the Save command in the File tab (see image). Once in a readable movie format you can view it on a PC or other device.

According to this footage, a dachshund runs circles around its opposition and then runs over them just to ensure the win.... I think you're right in saying they are SUPER-DOGS...the others have no chance in hell!!!
