I thought this had been discussed, but I can't find a thread about "deleting private messages"
My InBox has 49 PMs and the limit is 50, so if I'm not careful I'll not hear from Skitterbug or JonWallace again.
I see that I can laboriously check on each little box by clicking it.
Is there a faster method for removing, say, all PMs beyond the last 30 days?

Re: Deleting PMs
The only options are
1) Mark individual messages
or
2) Click 'Mark all'.
You can then select 'Delete marked' from the dropdown and click Go.
There are no options to mark messages older than a specific age, or similar.

Re: Deleting PMs
But, you can set Folder Options to delete the oldest messages automatically when your inbox is full, or to move the oldest messages to another folder:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Deleting PMs
I chose the option to automatically move my oldest messages, and even set up an Archive folder, thereby guaranteeing that I'd never receive more than 50 messages in my inbox.HansV wrote:But, you can set Folder Options to delete the oldest messages automatically when your inbox is full, or to move the oldest messages to another folder

I've set myself up as "If folder is full: Delete oldest messages" and will observe ....
Now all I need is few Friends, or failing that, enemies, to issue PMs to me.

If you like I can arrange for "The SPAMMERS Society - made up of some medical companies and Hans's fake Rolex watch companies, to send you loooooots of PM spam!! That should do the trick to fill out your inbox for testing purposes.ChrisGreaves wrote:Now all I need is few Friends, or failing that, enemies, to issue PMs to me.

Thanks, but no thanks, Rudi. I like to keep my InBox clear for those (there are many) who issue apologies to me for imagined mis-deeds where none were perceived.Rudi wrote:If you like I can arrange for "The SPAMMERS Society -
If nothing else this alerts me to how SENSitive I must appear to be to fellow Loungers, and causes me to mull over my online attitudes.
