Hi,
I use Free Download Manager for all my download needs, but I was wondering if there is a download manager that allows one to download files at say 2am in the morning when bandwidth is better, but then once the download is finished the manager must put the PC to sleep. Free Download Manager does have a scheduled download option, but not the option to sleep the PC. I don't want my PC running all night if not needed.
Any ideas for a download manager that can schedule downloads and sleep the PC (preferably freeware)...TX

See Automatically Shut Down Your Computer After Downloading Has Completed for two free (for personal use) utilities that have been designed for other purposes, but can be set up to do what you want.
Internet Download Manager is not free, but it does have the option to shut down the computer after your downloads have finished.

Unsurprisingly, both any required waking up and sleeping can be done by a BATch file...

With further searching I also found iGetter, which I initially thought was an Apple/iMac product, but there is a Windows version too...
See: http://www.igetter.net/iGetter.html
It also has a sleep/shutdown option after a download completes.

So long as the download can be done by a command line version of your program.
