Cheap at half the price (you get six bottles, note)!
But is it sold by "Tesco Paul", or is it made using sauerkraut?

Sauer is German for "sour", so I don't know if it bodes any good for the wine.
I'll perform a test tonight.

I see that Kanonkop translated from Afrikaans to English is "Aerorand". Now what on earth is aerorand when it's at home?

Re: Anyone fancy a bottle of this wine?
That's an erroneous translation. "Kanon" is cannon, and "kop" is a head, or in this case, a rounded hill. So the proper translation would be "Cannon hill".
Aerorand and Kanonkop are names of different neighbourhoods in the town of Middelburg, South Africa.

I think Two-Buck-Chuck is more in my price range (even though the price has gone up in recent years to as much as $3.50). While I haven't sampled any of their white wines, the Charles Shaw Cab/Sav is a surprisingly pleasant wine.HansV wrote:Tesco value!

The pound has been suffering recently on the exchange markets. So how much is that in real money (CHF or eur)??

999,999 British pounds ~ 1.1 million Euros ~ 1.6 million Swiss francs (for 6 bottles, mind you).

And 1,515,999.82 USD. (I'll stick with beer.)

Rather pricey for something the body will metabolize in 48 hours and be done with. IMHO, of course
