I know NOTHING about graphics. I want to take our company logo, a .jpg file and tell some software to create me a copy of this image with the White portions made transparent.
I tried following the instructions in Paint .NET but I failed miserably.
Please point me to some software where I can basically do this by a click or a manu option.
Regards,
Kevin Bell

Re: Transparency
The .jpg format doesn't support transparency. You have to save your image as a .gif or .png file.
See for example How to Create a Transparent GIF in Paint Net.

Re: Transparency
It's also easy to create transparency in .gif files in IrfanView.
