Got brand new laptop for stuckling2, Win 7 64 bit.
It appears to have MS Office already installed in that there is an entry for Office on the Start menu. I'm confident that if I use that shortcut then what will happen is that a 'click to run' installation of Office 2010 Starter Edition will appear as if by magic. I base this prediction on the fact that is exactly what happened when I used a similar shortcut on my recently purchased netbook.
However, I don't want Starter Ed on this new laptop, I want Pro. I have a full back up DVD of Office Pro Plus and a key.
Any suggestions about the best way to get Office Pro installed? Do I:
a) Simply insert the DVD and install and assume that will overwrite anything to do with the click to run Starter Ed
OR
b) Use Revo to remove all traces of the never been touched pre-installed Starter Ed and then use the DVD to install Pro?

I'd choose option b). There are many reports of Office 2010 Starter taking over from the full edition if it hasn't been removed completely.
Best wishes,

OK, I'll take a deep breath and go for that route.
