Text Form Field Problem
I’m using Word 2007 and am having a problem keeping my Text Form Fields that are within a table with a font setting of Times New Roman. Some text form fields work good, while other resort to my default font setting. I copied and pasted one that was correct, I recreated new form fields, I checked the table the form field is located in, everything checks out OK, until I apply protection and start typing, any suggestions what I might try. I’m puzzled

Re: Text Form Field Problem
Press Alt+F9 to show field codes. The form fields should look like { FORMTEXT }. Add \* CHARFORMAT before the closing bracket, so that they look like { FORMTEXT \* CHARFORMAT }.
Press Alt+F9 to hide the field codes.

Best wishes,

Re: Text Form Field Problem
Are you sure you unprotected the document? (Although I guess so, otherwise you wouldn't be able to view field codes)
Click in a form field, use the arrow keys to move the insertion point to the end, before }, then type...

Re: Text Form Field Problem
It seemed to work fine, until I removed protection then reapplied. it then resorted back.
Here’s a sample doc. I highlighted the form fields in question in a light blue. It’s got me puzzled.

Re: Text Form Field Problem
Since your entire document uses Times New Roman, your Normal style should be Times New Roman instead of Comic Sans (which should not be used as a document font anyway). Modify the Normal style to use Time New Roman 10 points (or whichever size you want to use), and your problems should be gone.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thank you Hans
that solved the problem.
I was puzzled because some of the form fields worked correcly while others did not.
But all is good in the neighborhood
