Morning all
In column B I have a list of Country names and in column C a small GIF of the country map, I would like to sort column B and also move the corrosponding map in C (which are wholly contained within the borders of the cell), is this possible to do?

Just make sure that each picture has the option to move but not resize with cell set in Format Picture.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

And if you have a column header such as "Country" at the top of column B, you should also have a column header (for example "Map") at the top of column C. Otherwise, Excel won't recognize the map pictures as part of the range to be sorted.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks Stuart and Hans
I had already set all of the pictures to move but don't size but what I failed to do was to select (highlight) the cells with the graphics in them. I had wrongly assume that like a normal sort it would show me the message box about adjacent columns when I was sorting column B

Re: Sort with pictures (Excel 2003 SP3)
If you don't select the range to be sorted yourself, Excel determines the range based on the data, i.e. the cell values. If the picture column doesn't contain a column header, Excel doesn't see it as part of the range to be sorted because the cells with the pictures have a blank value.
Best wishes,
Hans
