How much do you suppose that comes to per sip?

Re: I wonder if...
Let's see...
If the bottle holds 700 ml then that 2.1 x10^6 / 700 = £3000 per ml. However, the article mentions:
"The auction house's head of whisky said he had been allowed to taste "a tiny drop" of it beforehand.
so that's perhaps an underestimate.
If someone can tell us how many ml are in a sip you can then do the final calculation.

Re: I wonder if...
I did a little checking and found that a sip is estimated to be 10-15ml. If we use the larger measure (15ml) and staying with your surmise that the bottle is 700ml - as opposed to an honest quart - then a sip would cost £45000.
Too rich for my blood but Stuart can, no doubt, afford a sip or two.

Re: I wonder if...
Either a sip or, indeed, the whole bottle would be petty cash for Stuart!

Re: I wonder if...
Where does this reputation come from? I have been known to spend up to about £150 on a VERY special bottle of whisky once or twice in my life, but never more.
