This blasted image has popped up on my screen. It has not means that I've discovered to get rid of it. I can find nothing in Task Manager that suggests what app or process is putting there. I would very much like to get rid of it and prevent it ever reappearing.

You may have forgotten to share the image Bob?
Also, I am assuming you are referring to the PC version of WhatsApp?

I suspect that Bob meant "which app(lication)", not WhatsApp...

It seems to me that Bob has already managed to get rid of the offending image, since there is no sign of it! <chortle!>

Sorry, folks!
Been having a few days of really bad brain fog. I think it might be seasonal allergies but it might also be TIAs.
Here's the pic I thought I posted last evening.

Google has a tendency to do this whenever you visit a Google site (Google itself, Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, ...) where you are currently not logged in. I don't think it's easy to completely disable it.

Re: What App Produces this Image
I've discovered that this nuisance is somehow associated with Thunderbird. At least, it pops up when I'm trying to view inboxes and read mail. The T-bird icon in my system tray will have 2 instances appear and I can choose the nuisance instance and click the 'X' to get rid of it temporarily but it comes back. I'm at a loss to explain its relationship to email unless there was an attachment or link from one that I don't recall following.
Thanks for the response, Hans.

Re: What App Produces this Image
YouTube is now putting up an icon (has a sort of key in it) when used. I've found that refreshing the page (F5) makes it go away and it doesn't return, no matter how many videos are played in that session. It does, of course, return when next YouTube is opened, but F5 makes it go away again.
Worth a try?
