I never use Headings. I suspect it’s part of the Pane, BUT, is there a way to eliminate it. I know I can revert to the old Ctrl +F, but I do like seeing all instances of Find in one place.
Thank you

You cannot remove the Headings tab from the Navigation pane.
You can see all search results in the Results tab of the Navigation pane.

There are good reasons to use the Built-In Heading Styles, only one of which is the Navigation Pane. You can modify them to look however you want.

When you use Ctrl+F you will switch automatically to the Results tab.
