When I started my system today, I noticed an unfamiliar banner at the top of my Firefox browser screen, a la . . .
Has anyone else experienced this? It smells of malware to me.
I closed Firefox to run a disk cleaner (Glarysoft), but the banner persisted. When I restarted the browser after running the disk cleaner, Bing loaded instead of Firefox. Now I can't get Firefox to load. Bing loads no matter how I launch Firefox (from a shortcut or from the system menu).Bing Hijack

Bing is a website, Firefox a browser.BobH wrote:...Bing loaded instead of Firefox.
Do you mean your default browser or preferred homepage has been changed?

Thanks, Leif!
Yes, but I also could not start Firefox by any means.
After moments of senioritis passed, I remembered to run a malware scan which found a bunch of PUPs and one malware file. I removed them and all seems to be normal now.
