How to UN-Write-Protect a USB memory key.?
I agree to the scanning. I start the scan and after a pause of some two or three seconds, I am told that the disk is “write protected”.
I didn’t know that a memory key could be write-protected. I haven’t seen a write-protect tab since my last 3.5” floppy disk.
This memory key is not critical, although 8GB is still handy.
I can try anything within reason:-
(1) Special software
(2) Oven-baking
I no longer have access to one of those de-gausser tools that were pretty handy back in the floppy days.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Oh yes, Win7 Home Premium, updated recently.
Cheers
Chris
