I'm creating a global powerpoint template with custom code.
Ive done the same for Excel and will store the excel template in the Excel startup path. ie
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\XLSTART\excelTemplateName .xltm
Therefore when Excel opens the excel template will be available globally in excel.
I couldnt locate a Powerpoint startup path. Does one exist.
TechNet have the following article
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... 79039.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and for Application templates the location is
Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\Root\Templates
Does anyone know how to interrupt this path
The Templates path doesn't exist
On my Windows 7 64bit pc do I need to create a new sub-folder \Templates eg
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\Templates\MyPowerPointGlobalTemplate.potm
TIA

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

Re: PowerPoint 2013 startup locations
Thanks Rubi. That shows how to store templates under the users profile which means the template needs to be distributed to all users. and when the template is updated has to be pushed out from a central store to all users.
I was wanting to deploy/ set the template on the local pc in a simple startup location eg
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15
--dd

You could use the workgroup templates folder. You can force this to be a shared network folder by a group policy.
Best wishes,
