I come across this frequently.
At the end of a doc there is a last para mark, not part of my text or formatting, that cannot be removed. Yes I am aware that it carries some doc info, but when it causes a new blank page it is extremely frustrating. Surely Word could move that info it contains to the previous para mark.
Anyone know how I can remove it?

Copy everything EXCEPT for this paragraph mark and paste it into a new document?

Re: Remove trailing para mark
It looks like there is a page or section break at the end of the next-to-last page. Could you remove that?
If not, it may be possible to hide the empty last page:
Select the last paragraph mark.
Activate the Font dialog (Ctrl+D).
Tick the 'Hidden' check box.
Click OK.

Re: Remove trailing para mark
Thanks Stuart. Worth a try. Sadly it didn't work, the pesky trailing para mark is pasted, even though it wasn't copied.
Thanks Hans. In the past, if I deleted that section break, it messed up my formatting. However, I tried it this time and voila the blank page has gone.
By the way - love the Christmas clogs!

For future reference, http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/BlankPage.htm has just about everything you'll need to know about getting rid of blank pages.

Re: Remove trailing para mark
The one near the arrow is in the footer. The one on the next page is because the columns run to the bottom the page above.
Just reduce the "Header/Footing size a bit and the bottom marker will move up.
