Indexing is complete and Outlook is not excluded.
Another behavior I have noticed is that if I open an item in my Inbox and then search for it, it appears in the list of items searched for in the Inbox. If I do not previously open it, it does not appear in the list of searched items.

Try the following:
- Quit Outlook, if it is open.
- Locate the .pst file in Windows Explorer.
- Right-click it and select Properties from the context menu.
- Click Advanced.
- Make sure that the check box "Allow this file to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" is ticked.
- Click Ok, then OK again.

I ticked on "Allow this file to have contents indexed in addition to file properties." It now appears to be working. Many thanks Hans.

Actually, it's not working in Contacts. And I went back to the .pst file's properties and "Allow this file to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" is now unticked. Ticking it does not stick.

Re: Cause the Contacts "File as" fields to correspond to "Na
I saved a copy of the pst file to my desktop before I ran the macro. I then opened the .pst file on my desktop to test that it properly saved. Then I opened the .pst file in my MS Outlook folder. Now, I am getting a duplicate of each of my reminders. My theory is that even though I later opened up the .pst file in my MS Outlook folder with the intent that only it be opened, both the .pst file in my MS Outlook folder and the backup on my desktop are simultaneously open. How do I correct this? I already tried moving the .pst file on my desktop, but that just prompts an error message that the file has not been found. I don’t want Outlook to look for that file in the first place.

In Outlook, select File > Account Settings > Account Settings...
Activate the Data Files tab.
Select the data file you don't want, then click Remove.

Re: Cause the Contacts "File as" fields to correspond to "Na
Thank you. That worked without deleting the backup from my Desktop.
I now have one of each reminder. However, there are three files that show up in my Data Files that appear to all be identical. One is named Outlook and two are named Personal Folders. One of the two Personal Folders has a checkmark next to it. All three files point to the same Outlook.pst file in the same folder location.
Other than this I do not notice abnormal behavior. Is this normal?

The one with the check mark is the one to which incoming messages will be delivered. If you're certain the others are identical, you can remove them too.

My search results seem to be working now. I wonder if Indexing really was not complete, despite my reply last week.

I ran the macro in Hans' Post=143055 and have not noticed any issues with searching (as had initially occurred with the first macro I ran). I have not yet noticed if all of the entries have been properly alphabetized, but I will post back if they have not.
