Re: Stunning photos!
I've just worked through the first link.... Absolutely breathtaking. Gosh, it would be a treat to visit these places during my lifetime...
I'll think twice about Trolls Tongue though. There are no railings....sheesh...
Will work through link 2 soon.
TX for the share!

Re: Stunning photos!
I don't doubt that these places have incredible colours but I do question the colours in the photos. Nature is wonderful so why mess it in [insert name of your favourite photo editor]?
Or is that just me being ?

Re: Stunning photos!
I have to disagree with the statement about Nederlands. Yes, it has Amsterdam, windmills, and tulip fields but its most important feature is HansV and Leiden!

Now we just need to send a photographer over to Hans's house to get a pic and edit the webpage.

C'mon guys, it would be very worrying if I were the most important feature of The Netherlands!
Best wishes,

That would be uncomfortable - it has no roof. I prefer sleeping under a bridge...

Hi Ken.stuck wrote:I don't doubt that these places have incredible colours ...
I can vouch for the colours in "40. Hillier Lake, Western Australia".
We traveled from Southern Cross to Esperance one year for our holidays, and a local took us out along the coast, west of the town, to see Pink Lake and others.
Living in Southern Cross had accustomed us to salt lakes, but the Pink lake(s) near Esperance really are a vivid pink.
I've not visited Wave Rock, but again, the WA wheatbelt east of Perth is studded with rocks, and many of them do exhibit the rain-stain colours shown in this photo.
He who plants a seed, plants life.

and doing that isn't uncomfortable? I thought you'd get wet feet sleeping under a bridge in Leiden?HansV wrote:...sleeping under a bridge...

PS by the way, I once met some really nice people in your neck of the woods, if tell them I sent you, I'm sure they'd give you a more comfortable place to stay

Re: Stunning photos!
Many years ago, on another board that many of us frequented, I posted a photo taken near my home. It prominently featured a bridge - not unusual for Leiden - so people speculated that I lived under that bridge. I still refer to this from time to time, although that post cannot be found anymore...
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Stunning photos!
I cannot be 100% sure, but I think I recall this incident. If it is the board I think you refer to, I joined up there in 2004, so your "many years ago" is sometime during the last decade? If my memory is serving me correctly, it was a hilarious scenario at the time...

Yes, I meant Woody's Lounge, of course. I don't remember which year it was, though.
