I have a report. grouping on DEPT, and AREA... detail contains names.
what i'm after, but cannot seem to make happen, is for each new set of data to have a new page.. so:- it might look like this
Page 1
CANTEEN
cooker
Page 2
CANTEEN
cutlery
Page 3
LIVING ROOM
couch
Page 4
LIVING ROOM
sideboard
Page 5
LIVING ROOM
cupboard
I presume its page breaks.. but i cannot figure out how to achieve the above.
Report Grouping.

Re: Report Grouping.
Set the Force New Page property of the relevant group header to Before Section. You'll find this property in the Format tab of the Property Sheet.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Report Grouping.
Yep . i had done that exactly.
what the report is doing though.. is that the first page of each 'section' .. has no data in it..
so , for example above.
Page 1
CANTEEN
(no detail names) !!
Page 2
CANTEEN
cooker
Tom
Bill
Page 3
LIVING ROOM
(no detail names)
Page 4
LIVING ROOM
sideboard
Fred
Jim

Re: Report Grouping.
Perhaps the grouping levels are in the wrong order. Please check that carefully.
If you can't get it right, could you post a stripped-down and zipped copy of the database?
