Maybe a or some lounger(s) can ?
A friend of mine, an avid, observant daily newspaper reader (in paper form) tells me that he reads the obituaries in full every day to ensure that he doesn't learn about a friends demise via grape vine, which I found very cautionary and diligent.
And then he asked me this, which has been puzzling me ever since:
Why do all people die in alphabetical order ?
I checked, and its true.
(Not looking good for me ! )
I can't find an answer to this puzzle

Re: I can't find an answer to this puzzle
My (now late and somewhat hypochondriac) aunt seemed to develop many strange symptoms some time back in the 70s IIRC.
Turns out she was buying one of those medical encyclopaedias that builds from weekly parts.
Her doctor realized this when he noticed she was presenting with diseases in alphabetical order. And that one is true!

Gosh...worry and anxiety (and probably a whole lot of meditating on what she read) plays a powerful part in one's reality! Quite some account to learn from Alan!

This would have given the doctor a chance to appear even more God-like by predicting each week what she was suffering from!AlanMiller wrote:Her doctor realized this when he noticed she was presenting with diseases in alphabetical order.

There was the old saying that the obits were the xxxxx (fill in your own ethnic group) society pages.
Also some checked to see that their own name was not there, so they could continue the day.

(And now that got me thinking about the Glossops in Wodehouse's novels.)
