Shortcut to get my programmed font and size in emails

I have set my text in emails to Times New Roman 12. When I press ctrl + shift + n, I expect the text to show up as ctrl + shift + n because in Word, that keyboard combination causes the text to appear as the normal font, stripped of formatting. However, ctrl + shift + n in Outlook causes the text to appear as Calibri (Body) 11 rather than Times New Roman 12. Is there some other shortcut to get the default Times New Roman font that I programmed, stripped of formatting?

Ctrl+Shift+N will apply the Normal style as set in the NormalEmail.dotm template. This template can be found in the folder

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

under Windows Vista and later, or in

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

under Windows XP.

To change the style:

- Quit Outlook.
- Open NormalEmail.dotm
- Modify the Normal style
- Close and save the template.

You can now restart Outlook.

Oh, I forgot:
Just as in Word, Ctrl+Spacebar removes manual character formatting, and Ctrl+Q removes manual paragraph formatting.
