Shell Hardware Detection
Shell Hardware Detection is causing extremely slow boot for a co-worker--minutes go by between display of the wallpaper and display of the destop. Does anyone know of a resolution that allows new hardware to be found?

Re: Shell Hardware Detection
When the desktop is finally available start Windows Explorer go to Tools | Folder Options | View. Make sure "Automatically search for network folders and printers" is not checked.
If you have any mapped drives that are configured to reconnect at boot and they are not available when the system is booted this could cause a significant slow down.
