Outlook 2007 - sub folders dont inherit the parent column and views - users have to manually set the columns and views for each sub folder
The Inbox displays the correct columns.
The subfolders should inherit the inbox columns.
However for some users, the sub folders display basic views column. The users have to manually set the columns and views for each sub folder
1. click in the sub-folder
2. click & add the required columns
3. Click menu View, Current View, click Messages with AutoPreview
4. the result displays correctly
See captures
Is there any way to set a global or ‘template’ columns to be applied to all sub folders and delegate inboxes?
Many thanks
dd

See if Applying custom views to all folders at once helps.
Best wishes,

thanks Hans
yes that worked.
i went into each Custom View template to add the columns .
although all read messages turned un-read again. i think this was because I also amended the template 'Unread Messags in this Folder'
Thank you again Hans
