I cannot imagine the damage that can cause to homes (windows, roofs, etc) and cars. The largest i have heard of in RSA is in the thunderstorm areas where up to golf ball size hail can fall...and i thought that was BIG, but GRAPEFRUIT !!!!

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

You are correct. Hail that large will crash through car windows, cause HUGE dents and shred crops. Only good metal roofs can withstand it but even they are damagee.

OK, I've tried the resets and still cannot get the attachments filename option to show as active - still greyed out.
Also, even if it were active, I don't know where to find a filename to enter. How does one find filenames on the iPad, especially filenames for photos?

If you select the photos app do you see the photo you wish to import? That is where mine are stored so when I selected the option to import it listed all those photos.
I thought I'd give an upload of a pic a try and I find the same problem as BobH - the Choose File command on the "post a reply" webpage is greyed out. There doesn't seem to be any way to select any type of file. Wonder what is different for us than for the rest of the iPad users?

Does it maybe depend on what model of iPad we have? I am working with the 1st generation of iPad. I've never felt the use for updating until my equipment is so outdated that it isn't useful anymore. Until now, it has done what I need.

The version on my 1st generation iPad is 5.1.1. It is currently up to date so I guess it is as good as it gets. It does seem strange that it won't allow uploads of pics. Is this a good reason to get a new iPad??????
