Same here, well sort of here, a bit further south of here, on the Derbyshire / Shropshire border.

Lovely, but I didn't know that Derbyshire and Shropshire had a common border. Isn't Staffordshire in between?
Best wishes,
Hans

-3c as I type at 17:15 .
This week I paid $14 for a new hose nozzle at Swyers because the hose's aluminium nozzle froze and split overnight.
Native Newfoundlanders , long-time residents of this town, are walking around with hooded quilted jackets and mittens.
Be glad that you can walk around outside, instead of going to bed at 6pm because you stupidly decided to have a little campfie barbecue for supper ...
Glumly yours,

It's really quite mild for this time of year for me.
But then, we've moved from Canberra where the May (late autumn) average temperatures are 4ºC - 16ºC (39ºF - ,61ºF) to Newcastle, north of Sydney, 13ºC - 20ºC (55ºF - 68ºF) (and a bigger contrast in July).
We're loving the much milder overnight temperatures here.

Yes. We didn't climb to the top though. Here's a quick three frame panorama, also featuring Thorpe Cloud, from the walk we did in that area. It was windy and a bit damp at this point but the sun came out once we started up Dovedale.

Yes, this is just a stitch of the JPEGs that the camera produces and so, since the sky dominates, the land is a bit underexposed. If I process the RAW data myself I'll be able to get a more balanced exposure.

It was even cooler today, with rain all morning. The afternoon was slightly better, but still with lots of clouds.

Re: It's rather cool for the end of May...
I've lived in Texas for 28 years. The hottest temperature I can remember was 119°F which I believe is 48°C. We will have triple-digit on some days throughout the Summer usually not beginning before June and sometimes lasting into September. Mind you that is not every day, but we will have some days that warm.
In 2011 we had an unusually hot Summer with the first triple-digit day in May. That Summer we had 93 days above 100°F with 68 of those days in a row.

Here's some nice clouds which are going to clear later so that I can get my telescope out, Kingsnorth Power station the source of the light pollution on my Eastern aspect, the secret beach which is only accessible on foot along the sea wall and Wilson my brother-in-law's Cocker Spaniel.
