I've just stumbled across a neat feature in MS ICE. If you have a 360deg panorama and you use the stereographic projection then you can 'bend' the projection to render the image as a circle:
1) watch the video on the MS ICE web page:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/researc ... te-editor/
2) find a full 360 panorama, here's one I posted earlier:
https://eileenslounge.com/viewtopic.php ... 23#p260623
3) apply stereographic projection and reshape it as shown in the video
4) use the autocomplete to fill in the sky and you get version below.

Wow, although I've been using ICE for years, I didn't know about these features!
Best wishes,
Hans

Here is one created from a video I took in 2018. The application couldn't process the path in the center, but it's still neat.

Re: MS ICE stereographic projection
Same here, serves us right for not reading the instructions
I finally did that yesterday because elsewhere (on a photo forum) someone had suggested using MS ICE to combine photos in a way I didn't think was possible. I was right but it was in finding out I was right that I learnt of these features.
I don't have many 360deg panoramas to play with but one is of the arena at Pompeii. That works quite well, giving you a strange sort of aerial view, including, relative to the background, somewhat oversized images of my wife and youngest son
