I want to find all posts that have a specific phrase, eg, "license key" in a particular forum or set of forums.
Code: Select all
"license key" site:https://eileenslounge.com
I learned this trick from Hans or Rudi, or someone else about two months ago; I'm just not game to try searching for "site:" using the "site:" prefix!
To implement it physically FIRST I go to the site I want to search; in your case any Eileen's Lounge link will do.
But you could as easily jump to any
www.chrisgreaves.com page.
Or any "
https://historyofenglishpodcast.com/episodes/" page
SECOND I delete the trailing part of the URL to leave just the root.
Thus I might leave "
https://historyofenglishpodcast.com/episodes/" as is if I want to search only the episode pages, or I might trim to "
https://historyofenglishpodcast.com/" if I want to search the entire site.
THIRD I use the <Home> key to move to the left hand end of the URL.
FOURTH I type my search string and a <space> and then the string "site:". Tap <Enter>
This should work for you.
Code: Select all
"license key" site:https://eileenslounge.com
Cheers
Chris
