Re: Snakes from the ceiling
The report didn't say what sort of snakes they were. They might have been quite benign.
In the roof, they will be good for controlling mice and possums.

Carpet snakes. And a bit heavy: the two snakes they caught weighed 22 kg combined (the third got away).
Best wishes,

If it had been 3.14m it would have been a π-thon

Re: Snakes from the ceiling
You'd really think that they would build stronger ceilings in Australian houses, just in case any massive "serpents" [!] 'visited with'.
And why were they in the ceiling space if they were carpet snakes?

So, why not fine them for being in the Wrong place.
Then Stuart could say that not that they were benign, but befined!

Re: Snakes from the ceiling
I note with interest that The Grauniad's report quotes "“If you get bitten, bandage on your arm, straight to hospital." but does not state what we were taught: "Take [a piece of] the snake with you to the hospital, the better to identify a suitable anti-toxin".HansV wrote: ↑01 Sep 2020, 09:40Snakes on a plate: Australian man shocked after massive serpents crash through kitchen ceiling
I suspect that a professional snake-handler would give that advice, but it seems weak of The Guardian to suggest that one should go to hospital - an obvious procedure - without advice about collecting evidence.

It's Australia, innit? They have carpet on the ceiling, of course.
Best wishes,

Oh come ON Lisa!
Don't be such a suck!
It was a snake, and it's her own fault for wearing vermilion and holding a microphone. (vermilion is, of course, from "vermi" or "worm")
The snake probably thought that she was a two-legged worm.
At least she wasn't attacked by a dreaded Australian Drop-Bear.(Thylarctos plummetus)

If they were in the car, they would have been car pet snakes.
