I have found a lot of Excel tutorials and templates for making a gantt in Excel for a project. They track tasks, etc.
I have tried editing them, but am struggling.
I need a gantt view of all of our projects - a portfolio of sorts.
I want to be able to filter it by the company Division that has the project (I.T., Power Delivery, Human Resources, etc.) or by the senior project manager; since our company often assigns multiple projects to a PM.
Any ideas of where something like this might already exist? I don't want to track tasks or risks or anything other than:
Sponsor, PM, Project Name, Project start/end dates.
chandoo.org has a project porfolio template I can buy but it is very complex and way much more than I need.
Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Re: Project Portfolio Gantt
I assume that you have tried
Gantt project planner
Gantt Charts in Microsoft Excel
Simple Project Planning With Excel Gantt Chart
It would be helpful if you could provide a sample of what the data look like (without sensitive information of course).
