Re: can't argue with the sentiment
I wasn't making a political statement. It turns out I've driven past this piece of 'art' for along time without realising it was there. I discovered it while out enjoying my permitted daily exercise.
For those of you that know the URL to my holiday blog, there's a bit more about this picture there. If you don't know the URL and you are a regular here, i.e. I 'know' you, then send me a PM and I'll consider sharing it with you.

Re: can't argue with the sentiment
No political statements intended on my end, either— at least none beyond commenting on politicians in general, from all walks, who can't resist opportunism, and trying to make disaster serve their own interests. What's happening now is bigger than that, so much bigger. It shivers the soul.stuck wrote:I wasn't making a political statement. ...

My favourite graffiti quote from 2102 was "Solar Energy NOW!".stuck wrote:Ken

Re: can't argue with the sentiment
Turned out to not 82 but less than 2!
"An anti-malware component is converting the date/time into the "YYMMDDHHMM" format and storing it as a signed, 32-bit number (max value 2,147,483,648).
In December, the number started with "2112," less than 2147. But in January, the number starts with "2201," obviously more than 2147"".
Quoted from Susan Bradley's Blog.
I had this in 1978, SGB UK had me updating their payroll on an ICL 1903A/COBOL. Every fortnight the DP manager would walk in with another bug: We are out by £83,886.07 again. I would rub my forehead, wince "Give me a couple of hours", locate the 24-bit integer field and change it to 48 (or from "Integer" to "Double Integer" whatever it was) and get back to my real job. Thirty seconds max. Impressed the DP manager no end. The form was so badly managed that they wouldn't allocate time for me to change all the internal working values from single- to double-integer.
Years later I learned the expression whack-a-mole.
Cheers
