Is anyone familiar with posting videos on Facebook?
I can post a video but it does not show the correct starting position i.e the beginning. It shows somewhere about half-way through.
Once the Play button is pressed though it plays from the beginning OK.
I am wondering if there is any way to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

Any changes yet George, or does the problem still exist? Seems none of our loungers use Facebook that they might comment for guidance or at least consolation!?

Rudi

Not yet thanks Rudi. I sent a message via the Facebook ‘Report a Problem’ but they do not reply to individuals so I’ll just have to wait and see through time if the matter has been resolved.Rudi wrote:Any changes yet George, or does the problem still exist? Re: Posting videos on Facebook
I know nothing about posting videos on Facebook but Googling suggests that to change the video thumbnail you should:
- click on the time stamp to open the video
- click on the 'options' tab
- choose 'edit this video'
- then change 'see more options', one of which is to change the thumbnail
I distilled the above from here:

Hope this helps.

Rudi and Ken
Thanks for your interest in my query. I've found a way to do it and it's quite simple when you know how.
Perhaps I should have tested and tried before I asked the question.
Anyway. Thanks again for your interest.

Re: Posting videos on Facebook
The screenshots I took are all too large so I cannot use them.
I don't know whether the instructions without screenshots will suffice but I'll post them in hope.
1. On your Facebook page select More.
2. A drop-down menu will appear. From the menu, select Videos.
3. Choose the Video you wish to edit, hover your mouse over it and click on the box with the pencil.
4. From the drop-down menu select Edit this Video.
5. This will take you to the editing screen.
6. Here you will see how many Thumbnails are in the video. Go through them and select the one where you wish the video to start and at the bottom of the page select Save.

Re: Posting videos on Facebook
George's instructions sound similar to the ones I found. I suspect they are two routes to the same 'pick a thumbnail' option.
