I would like to display a real-time - constantly updating clock (digital) on several slides in a powerpoint deck create and delivered on a mac.
Has anyone done this successfully in the latest version of PowerPoint delivered as Office365? (note: this version does NOT support embedded SWF)

Welcome to Eileen's Lounge!
I have no experience with it myself, and it is not free, but there is a PPT Mac Clock.

Interesting solution HansV - though I was hoping for something I can embed in the actual PowerPoint presentation, not a separate program that will hover above my presentation

Hi Joe,
As far as I can tell, this is not a clock that hovers over the PPT. It integrates into the presentation as an object (or shape). The web page does not give a lot of detail, but they wouldn't surely call it a PPT Clock if it cannot integrate into the PPT. I have searched myself for additional options and don't really find anything in addition to Hans's find. There is a lot of options for Windows PPT but not for Mac PPT.

What, this function ... exists?
I'm sorry for spamming the forum these days, but I'm discovering more and more features in software I thought I mastered like eight years ago.
And how do you do it on Windows? Is there an integrated PPT tool or do you have to plug something in? Will it work if I bring "my" .ppt file and play it at work? Thanks!

PowerPoint for Windows supports Flash objects. See for example MatsClock.

Okay, great, thanks, it works. I've used the tool for a PPT aimed at giving a conference that I gave today, and not only it was entirely satisfying, but... I had some students ask me by which black magic I had embedded a working clock in my presentation!
