Removing path of images printed to PDF from PPT
Following the printing of my PPT to PDF, when I hold my mouse over any of the images in the PDF, a window pops up showing the path and address of the image that was copied into the PPT. I understand in Word, this feature can be disabled before writing to PDF by running a macro. How can it be removed within MS PPT or Adobe Acrobat?

In the Save As dialog, click Options...
Clear the check box "Document structure tags for accessibility" (it is ticked by default).
Click OK, then click Save.

In the Save as ... dialogue box, I don't see Options. However, is see a Tools drop down box and under it, I see Save Options. When I select Save Options, a PowerPoint Options dialogue appears with the Save tab active. I see no option for "Document structure tags for accessibility" in that dialogue.

Did you select PDF as file type?

I was not selecting PDF. When I select PDF, I do now see Options and, within Options, I see "Document structure tags for accessibility," which I have now unticked.HansV wrote:Did you select PDF as file type?
Is it possible to set "Document structure tags for accessibility" as unticked by default?

As far as I know, that is not possible.

Does anyone else know if this is possible?

Let me put it more strongly: PowerPoint doesn't let you change the default.
You could run a macro that saves the presentation as PDF with "Document structure tags for accessibility" turned off. But macros in PowerPoint are a nuisance.

Re: Removing path of images printed to PDF from PPT
It seems like such a violation of privacy that third parties can see where on a computer all of photos placed in a PPT are stored and that there is no way around this. The default should be set to remove this information by default and include it only if the user opts to do so.
Do you have a macro for PPT that you could share? Would the macro operate in such a way that every time a file is saved as a PDF, the document structure tags are removed, or would it be necessary to actually run the macro? If running the macro is necessary then it would probably be easier to clear the check box "Document structure tags for accessibility" each time a PPT is saved. However, what I really want to do is untick that check box by default as it is easy to sometimes forget to untick when writing to PDF.

You'd have to run the macro, so as you mention, it isn't really worthwhile.
