Re: Firefox Quantum
Just a reminder, with Firefox Quantum (aka Firefox 57) many extensions will no longer work. If you go to the extensions section of the add-ons manager, if any have "Legacy" by the name, they will not work with Firefox 57.
Some extension authors are still working to get their extensions updated, but many old extensions have been abandoned.

Re: Firefox Quantum
Sounds great (for those who don't use hordes of extensions!)
I look forward to experimenting with it.

Even greater for those of us that do use a browser that does not require the use of extensions.

Re: Firefox Quantum
I have fewer than a dozen extensions in total and could eliminate probably half with no consequence; however, I found that AdBlock Plus is marked as 'legacy'. I hope that changes rather sooner than later.

Re: Firefox Quantum
AdBlock Plus is working on a version that will be compatible with Firefox 57 and later - see The plan towards offering Adblock Plus for Firefox as a Web Extension.
Best wishes,

Re: Firefox Quantum
As mentioned above, legacy extensions will no longer work in Firefox 57/Quantum. Mozilla have been keeping track of a few hundred of the more popular extensions, if they have been ported to web extensions, or possible alternatives. This Google docs spreadsheet may be of use to some here.

Re: Firefox Quantum
Thanks, Tony - I didn't find Ghostery in the list of extensions (my incompetence?) but I know that will work because it isn't marked as Legacy.
uBlock Origin, an improvement on Adblock Plus, also works.
