Browsing in my Documents folder (Win7) I spotted a file that I could not identify. named First.vsp, about 5 megs size, dated 12/16/16. Could not open it but Googled .vsp and saw it was from Visual Studios Product, whatever that is? No idea where it came from but apparently a video or slideshow app?
I can just rename it temporarily and see what complains most but it has my curiosity up.

Re: Unknown file type
It could be a Ulead Video Studio file (Ulead is a subsidiary of Corel).
Best wishes,

Re: Unknown file type
Maybe you were experimenting with some video converting software and unknowingly saved a video in that format?

Thanks, George,Roderunner wrote:This website might help you. http://filext.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
i did run that app suggested in your link and it identified VSC as Virus Scan Configuration file, from McAfee. I don't ever recall even accidentally installing anything from McAfee, so I had renamed it and nothing complained for the last two days. I'll delete it.
